What good is a Scholarship program that nobody knows about?

Scholarship programs are sponsored by Countries, Corporations and Companies, Universities, Colleges and also by Foundations, Philanthropists and even ordinary individuals.

There are lots of Scholarship and Grants programs that go unused on an annual basis, this is due to lack of information on both sides (sponsors and potential recipients).



The purpose of awarding Scholarship is to: recognize outstanding achievement and attract outstanding students, recognize and encourage achievement by University and College students in the areas of academic excellence, service, and contributions to college life, to address financial need.

There are many types of Scholarships, some Scholarships are merit based, need based, interest based, cultural based. We can go on. 

Types of Scholarships.

Merit Scholarships 
Scholarships typically revolve around this type of award. People who excel in academics are awarded a scholarship on the basis of their overall academic achievement. 

Need-Based Scholarships 
This type of scholarship is given purely on financial means. They are designed to fund the less-fortunate students in their academic pursuits. 

Sports Scholarships 
Scholarships are popularly given to star athletes by universities to recruit them for the athletic teams. Many athletes complete their education free of charge. 

School-Based Individual Scholarships 
Every school offers specific scholarships relevant to specifics from the university: donors, individual name scholarships, personal scholarships, etc

On a final note, play the numbers and apply for as many scholarships as possible. Also, there is always a time limit, make sure you apply at the right time.
